Our College participated in the 23rd Youth Festival organized by H. N. G. University held at Himmatnagar from 19th to 21st October, 2011 and won prizes in eight out of nine events. The events are as under:3

• Our College achieved General Championship for the Ninth time consecutively
• It also obtained achieved 72 Marks and athletics Championship (Boys & Girls)
• Gohil Keshubha became the Best Athlete for the second time consecutively.

Our college participated in the 24th Youth Festival of the university held at Growmore College, Himatnagar during 2012-13. The students of our college displayed their talents and mesmerized the audiences and judges. They earned our college the first rang among all colleges of the University. Our College participated in the 25th Youth Festival of the University held at B.B.A. Department between 23rd and 25th December, 2013. This Youth festival also witnessed the invincible talents of Arts College, Patan. Our College won the First Rank in the University Consecutively for the second time. Eleven students from the victorious students were selected to represent the University at West Zone, Kolhapur between 16th and 30th December, 2013.
The Students of our college made their presence felt at the National Music competition which was held at Surat during 8-9 January, 2014.
Barot Puja and team won the first prize of Rs. 25000/- in group song competition. Raval Dhaval and team performed Folk Music at that competition and won prize money Rs. 5000/- by securing the fourth place in it.
LIONS CLUB OF PATAN organizes patriotic song competition on every Independence Day. Our college has been winning this competition for eight consecutive years.

Shri & Shrimati P.K.Kotawala Arts College has glorious history of achievements in the field of sports since its establishment in the year 1959. The performance of players and athletes of this college in various Inter-Collegiate, Inter-Zonal and Inter-Varsity tournaments has brought high praise and unparalleled laurels of the college and for the historical city of Patan.
With the vision of providing higher education to the youth of Mehsana and Banaskantha distircts and prepare them of face the challenges of modern India, the Mumbai based North Gujarat Education Society established in 1959 and Arts & Science Joint college by the name ‘Sheth M.N. Science and Shri & Shrimati P.K.Kotawala Arts College’ in the small School building on the outskirts of Patan. With a foresight for future development the management built a new building on a spacious land of 34.67 acres, near the Government Guest House after a couple of years. They appointed Prof.P.A.Pandya, a scholar of Physics from Ahmedabad, as the first Principal of the college. Prin.P.A. Pandya was not only a scholarly academician but also a discipline-loving administrator. He possessed a perfect judgment of men and their abilities and knew how to use their services for the development of college.
The First Physical Director of the college was Shri. K.P.Patel who stayed with college for a short period of two years and left in search of better future. His place was taken by his name sake, Kantilal Purshottamdas Patel, a young man from nearby town Chanasma. Being a good judge of man and his ability, Principal P.A.Pandya saw in this fresh graduate form C.P.M. Vyayam Vidhyalaya, Rajpipla hsi perfect choice for the post. Shri K.P.Patel who had a bright career as a sportsman, the captain of Gujarat University Kho-Kho team and expert in Volley-Ball Kabbadi and Atheletics, knew what a great challenge he had to face. The boys and girls who came to this college from humble surroundings of villages had no experience or acquaintance of modern games or latest training in sports.The had to be trained to face competition against player of big cities like Ahmedabad and Vododara. To Train them, to bring out their inner talent and energy and make them champions was an arduous task. Shri K.P.Patel, determined to prove this worth, took up the challenge and how far he has succeed can be seen in the bright Performance of his players down the years. Our athlete Ramesh C. Chauhan heralded the supremacy of our college in University Sports by becoming the Individual Champion in Gujarat University Ahtletic Meet in the very second year of our college. In the same year four players from college Kho-Kho team got selected to play in the University team. In those days when Gujarat University extended from Banaskantha to Bulsar, our college won General Championship of North Zone for more the twenty years. Such was our supremacy that when our athlete dressed in saffron-colored dress participated in any event, athletes from other colleges had to be satisfied with second or third number. The students of our college who participated in sports and athletic activities easily got employed after their graduation on the merit of their sports achievements. Many of our sportspersons who came from poor families enjoyed higher posts in police and civil services later on. There training on the sports field developed in them qualities of perseverance, integrity and dedication. Some of them have won awards for bravery in police departments from the state government.
Sincere and hard working as he was, Shri K.P.Patel could not have succeeded in his effort to meet the challenges single-handedly. No doubt he worked on the ground from morningto evening. He had not confined his duty hours to college times i.e.from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. He loved his players and he sweated coaching them in vairous games round the hours. Shri.K.P.Patel was fortunate to have inspiring and supporting Principals like Prin.P.A.Pandya, Prin. Dr.H.C.Trivedi, Prin.Dr.N.D.Desai, Prin.Shri.B.M. Upadhyay and Prin.Shri K.M.Patel who provided him necessary funds and moral support in holding camps and tournaments from time to time. He had also an active support of sports loving faculty, professors from various departments, who stood by him and provided services as team managers whenever teams had to go out to participate in inter-collegiate tournaments or athletic meets. Late Prof.G.J.Patel, Prof.A.R.Majmudar, Prof.P.N.Bhalodia, Late Prof. M.D.Trivedi and Prof. Manek Sathwawala from Science college and Prof. Jivanlal V. Patel, Prof.A.S.Shah, Dr.V.S.Patel, Prof.L.M.Revdiwala, Dr.C.D.Modi and the present principal Dr.L.S.Patel from Arts took active interest in Sports activities and spared time to help Shri K.P.Patel and encourage players.
